COLOSSIANS 3:1-10
New Year Resolutions: do we set them? Why do we set them? Do we ever achieve them? If not, why do we set them again? We set New Year Resolutions because:
- We realize that we desire to be a better person.
- We realize that we fall short.
- We realize that we do not possess the power to change.
How to achieve the better version of you?
- Learn to set better Priorities – (Colossians 3:1-4)
- Learn to invest in better relationships – (Colossians 3:5 – 7)
- Learn to make better choices – (Colossians 3:8-9)
- Learn to live as a Christian – (Colossians 3:10)
Galatians 5:22-25 (CEV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against things like this. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the self with its passions and its desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit. 26 Let’s not become arrogant, make each other angry, or be jealous of each other.
