The first Sunday of every month is a day that all and sundry gather to dine with the Lord at the International Christian Assembly and to lay down their petition and supplications to the Lord to usher them into the rest of the month.
Pastor John motioned behind the podium with his outstretched hand and addressed the members on the plans God has for each one in the congregation. He said, “God has a plan for you my brothers and sisters; His special plan for you”.
Pastor John added that Jesus Christ delivered us from the sin of this world and he did that with the purpose of us serving the true and living God.
God has a reward for all of us and we should not lose hope of the glory that awaits us in heaven. He told the congregation about what God told Abraham. He said that God told Abraham to leave his fathers house and go to a land he has promised him for a reward and to walk before him without any blemish.
He admonished the congregation to put their trust in God and they shouldn’t rely on their own understanding. The Book of Luke chapter 16 verses 15 says, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.”
Pastor John advised the congregation to live a holy life and to abstain from sin and anything that wouldn’t bring glory to God but on the other hand Christ should be the centre of everything in our lives.
December is a special month as all Christians across the globe head to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our Saviour. The International Christian Assembly will celebrate our Christmas on 25th December and we invite you to celebrate with us and to bring your friends with you.
